As senior vice president, APAC division manager, Thompson is responsible for the oversight of all operations for FM Global's Asia-Pacific division.

Prior to assuming this role, James was responsible for overseeing the development of new business for FM Global in Australia and New Zealand, as a regional sales manager.

James has also previously held the position of vice president, manager of underwriting and global services, Asia-Pacific division. In this role, James was regionally responsible for management of FM Global's WorldReach partner network and all underwriting activity.

In addition, since joining FM Global in 1993, James has held the positions of division underwriting manager for the broader territory of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, served as client service manager for FM Global’s Australia operations in Melbourne, managed the engineering of natural hazards for the company's staff engineering group in Johnston, RI, USA, held the role of group manager of field engineering and worked as a special chemical risks engineer servicing FM Global clients in Asia.

James holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in environmental engineering, both from the University of Melbourne. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Hian Hong is operations senior vice president, operations manager, Asia, and is responsible for FM Global's operations in Asia.

Since joining FM Global as a consultant engineer in 2004, Hian Hong has held several positions including account engineer, account manager, and most recently vice president, division underwriting manager for FM Global's Asia Pacific Operations, with a primary focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and South Korea markets.

Prior to joining FM Global, Hian Hong worked as a process engineer for ABB Lummus Global in Singapore, Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA, and The Hague in the Netherlands on engineering design packages for petrochemical plants.

Hian Hong holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Hamish is Vice president, client service manager for the Asia Operations and responsible for managing client service activities in Asia, with a primary focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and South Korea markets.

Hamish joined FM Global as a consultant engineer in 2002, and held various positions including business development executive, regional sales manager, and most recently assistant client service manager for Asia operations.

Hamish holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. He also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from SP Jain School of Global Management (Singapore Campus).

Welly is the regional sales manager for Asia operations. In her role, she leads Asia’s new business development activities by bringing in well-aligned clients who view FM Global as trusted advisors and long-term strategic partners.

Welly started her career with FM Global in January 2002 as a consultant engineer in Dallas, Texas. She worked in Shanghai, China as a manager for FM Approvals, and manager of office engineering & training in Dallas.

In 2011, Welly returned to China as an engineering specialist working on Mega Project Shanghai Disneyland. In 2016, Welly started working as the manager for Global Services in AsiaPac.

Welly embarked on a new journey in 2022 and started her career as the Regional Sales Manager for Asia at FM Global. During her career with FM Global, Welly worked abroad in a number of countries including USA, Netherlands, Italy, Honduras, Mexico, and various countries across Asia. 

Nantha is Vice President, Operations Engineering Manager for FM Global Asia Operations. Based in Singapore, Nantha leads the Engineering Team in Asia with the aim of helping clients build resilience into their business. In this role, Nantha is responsible for all aspects of our engineering products and services delivered throughout the region to ensure it meets our clients’ risk management needs on a timely basis.

Nantha joined FM Global in Malaysia as a Loss Prevention Consultant in 1996 and has since worked as Group Manager for Field Engineering and Account Engineering prior to moving to the current role. Before this, Nantha has worked in different engineering roles in consumer good manufacturing, aerospace and insurance industries.

Nantha holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) degree from University of Sheffield, U.K.

Seek Ying is Vice President, Division Engineering Manager for Asia Pacific at FM Global, supporting both the Asia and Australia Operation Engineering Team. In her role, she ensures engineering integrity, consistency in engineering implementations as well as talent development to support the Asia Pacific region.

Seek Ying has held several Engineering positions during her 18-year career with FM Global, including Operation Engineering Manager and Consultant Engineer. She joined FM Global back in 2001, following her experience in the semiconductor and electronics industries as an Environment, Health & Safety Engineer.

Seek Ying holds a Master’s degree in EHS Technology and a Bachelor’s (Honors) degree in Material Sciences from the National University of Singapore. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.

Benjamin is Regional Claims Manager for FM Global Asia Operations. He is responsible for the management of claims and loss adjustment activities for FM Global clients across Asia, with a focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and South Korea. In his role he leads the claims team in delivering fast and efficient claims resolution for clients. 

Benjamin has more than 26 years of experience in the insurance claims industry and has managed multi-national clients in the semiconductors, machinery productions, logistic warehousing, pharmaceutical and power generation industries. He joined FM Global in 1996 as a Loss Adjuster and has held several positions in the company across Singapore, London, Australia and Hong Kong. He was most recently Asia Operations Vice President, Senior General Adjuster, based in Hong Kong.
